Does FUE hair transplant leave scars?

Within one to two weeks after surgery, the side effects of an FUE transplant (such as bruising and swelling) should no longer be visible. Within three to four months after FUE treatment, many patients begin to notice the growth of new hair. Though scarring may be very minimal in most cases, the growth of new hair does in most cases cover the area and thus any visibility of scarring.

Is FUE hair transplant permanent?

Our FUE hair transplant are extremely long lasting and currently one of the most successful hair loss treatments available. It is normal for your hair to shed after a few weeks post procedure. Your hair will grow much stronger and healthier in the transplanted areas after 3-6 months. The newly transplanted hair will continue to grow just as it did when it was in the donor area, and your new hair growth will be permanent.

Is FUE hair transplant painful?

A local anesthetic will be given prior to the procedure and once the anesthetic starts to numb the skin, it should eliminate the patient from feeling anything throughout the procedure.

Some patients have said that they felt a minor pulling or tugging feeling during the procedure, but the anesthetic makes it so you will not feel any severe pain.

How Crown FUE HT Works?

With Crown FUE HT we extract each follicle one by one with a simple, non-invasive and highly effective method. The hair follicles are prepared and then positioned into the area of your concern.

Recovery time is minimal and you will begin to see the results within one to three months.

Pre-procedure instructions

For around three days prior to your procedure: do not take any anti-inflammatory medications (e.g.Ibuprofen), do not drink any alcohol, and do not over-expose to the sun. For best healing, you should refrain from smoking for one week prior to and one week after your procedure as it may contribute to delayed healing.

Post procedure instructions

For the first night, sleep with your head elevated on several pillows or in a recliner chair to prevent swelling. Avoid any strenuous physical activity the first two days after your procedure to prevent increased swelling and loss or damage of grafts. No direct sun exposure to the scalp for more than 30 minutes at a time for the first two weeks.  Wearing a hat provides adequate protection.

Is FUE hair transplant safe?

As with any kind of surgery, transplants have some risks, including bleeding and infection. There’s also the chance for scarring and unnatural-looking new hair growth. Around the time new locks start to grow, some people have inflammation or an infection of the hair follicles, called folliculitis.

Advantages of Crown FUE HT

With Crown FUE HT we only use the latest cutting edge equipment that ensures the least invasive and most effective procedure available. We only use the smallest diameter extraction tools that keep damage to the surrounding area to an absolute minimum. You will experience the quickest procedure possible that is virtually pain free.

FUE Hair Transplant FAQS

If you are able to tell if someone has had a hair transplant, it is usually because the procedure has not been performed correctly – the experience and skill of the team is critical. A well performed hair transplant procedure should be completely undetectable. At the Crown Clinic our team are performing procedures every day and have years of experience performing all types of hair transplantation to the scalp, eyebrows even beards and moustaches.  Each hair is implanted one at a time at the correct angle to provide you with a completely natural look.

Whenever skin is cut, the healing process called “fibrosis” needs to occur. Fibrosis is more commonly known as scarring and is the skin’s natural way of healing. Our skilled FUE hair transplant team take the grafts individually from the “donor” area, no stitches and no scarring. The grafts are then dissected into hairs and transplanted one by one to the “recipient” area. Transplanted hair is yours for life.

Yes. Hair loss in women is extremely common. Though women usually lose their hair in a different pattern to what men do. They usually experience thinning behind the hairline. It is important to know that female hair loss is completely normal with on average between 100 – 200 strands of hair being lost per day. However, losing more than this could be indicative of a more serious issue. Usually the hair loss is only temporary and it will grow back but it is vital to understand what the root cause of the hair loss is. This will help you be able to determine how to fix it and if it is permanent.

After your Crown FUE HT procedure you enjoy the maximum amount of support and instruction available to make your recovery as quick and easy as possible. Because you have experienced the most minimally invasive hair transplant procedure possible you will only need a small amount of post medications.

Our expert team knows how to keep the handling of your transplanted grafts to a minimum, increasing the survival rate of the hair follicle and ensuring your successful result.

The success rate of our FUE hair transplant procedure with the team at Crown Clinic is very high. Our patients have seen positive and remarkable results from the hair loss treatments offered by our friendly and experienced team.

Improvements in re-creating the hairline and placing the hairs in the thinning areas will help to create natural-looking results for both men and women. Thanks to these advancements, the results can look so natural that a barber or stylist won’t even be able to tell you’ve had anything done.

Men and women of all races can be great candidates for a hair transplant. Although, to be considered for a hair transplant, you will need two things:

  • Enough healthy hair that can be transplanted to the area that needs hair
  • The ability to grow hair on the thinning area of your scalp

Both FUE and FUT methods are available for women. FUE is the more popular option as it leaves no linear scarring and delivers more natural-looking results. According to the recent study from International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, over half of women that undergo hair restoration surgery are aged 30 to 49.
